Lia Scallon
When Irish-born, award-winning composer, singer and producer Lia Scallon, graduated from Trinity College Dublin, she became a professional actress, sharing the stage and screen with acting luminaries such as Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson and Glenn Close. In 2002, having discovered new creative expression through her music, Scallon released the first of her Sounds of Sirius albums in Australia, where she now lives.
For over a decade, Scallon’s music has been transforming lives throughout the globe. Lia’s angelic songs and accompanying ‘Language of Light’ have been described as being imbued with the frequency of pure Love. Her ethereal, other-worldly vocals induce an immediate sense of calm and peacefulness. Many people say that Sounds of Sirius reach deep into their soul and give them a sense of ‘coming home’.
Since 2002, Lia has released a further nine albums each one having its own individual focus and purpose. The common thread throughout the music is the tangible quality of love and compassion carried within Lia’s delicate yet rich vocals. Scallon’s Sounds of Sirius catalogue was introduced to the US, European and UK markets in 2010 to immediate acclaim. Lia’s landmark ninth album, ‘Crystal Keys – Songs to Awaken and Heal’, won the 2012 International COVR award for Best New Age Album and was a Finalist for both Best Vocal Album, and Best Relaxation/Meditation Album, in the2012 ZMR International Radio Awards. Her latest album, The Luminous Pearl – Songs of Mystery, Beauty and Light has been heralded as the crown jewel in her career. It debuted in the Top Ten of the ZMR Radio Charts on its release in May 2013. The album won the 2014 International OWMMA Award for Best New Age Album, was a finalist for Best Vocal Album in the 2013 ZMR Awards, and was awarded 1st Runner up for Best Sound Healing Album in the 2014 International COVR Awards.
